Going Green!

This year we are hosting a carbon-neutral event and have added the following great options to registration.


Carbon Offset Contribution                              R 25.00

This year SAACI will not be making use of Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) to make the event carbon neutral but will be purchasing carbon offsets instead. The reason for this is that RECs are used to only green the electricity supply whereas carbon offsets are used to offset all carbon emissions associated with our event - not only electricity but also heating, transport, catering, paper use and so forth. In this way we can host a truly carbon neutral event
