Student membership (Previously Young Professional member) @ R 500.00
No joining fee
Membership runs from 1 January- 31 December to accommodate academic year
Only university, university of technology, hotel and tourism school students and faculty members will allowed to be members


Associate membership (Previously Individual member) @ R 1 750.00- No top up 

Membership for a person in their personal capacity, but who is or has been actively involved in any activity relating to the business events industry.
Membership will not reflect the company name and is not transferable.
Use of the logo is for the Individual only and not be used on the company website and other such marketing collateral.


Company membership (Previously Company A member) @R 4 600.00
Membership allows for three (3) representatives to be listed
Top up fee R1 800.00 up to 7 members (8 automatically became Institution member)
Representatives are transferable
Company logo is allowed to be used on the website and marketing collateral


Institution membership (Previously Company B member) @ R 13 500.00
Membership allows for eight (8) representatives to be listed
Top up fee R1 650.00 up to 19 members (20 automatically became Patron member)
Representatives are transferable
Company logo is allowed to be used on the website and marketing collateral

 

Patron membership @R 33 000.00
Membership allows for twenty (20) representatives to be listed
Top up fee R1 500.00 no limitation
Representatives are transferable
Company logo is allowed to be used on the website and marketing collateral


Honorary life membership (Previously Honorary member) complimentary
The SAACI Board of Directors may appoint an honorary life member as a tribute to outstanding accomplishments in business events and dedicated services to our association. Nomination for a person to received honorary life membership should be submitted in writing to the chief executive officer for consideration at the next board meeting. Any two active members can at any time make these nominations. Submissions must include as motivation and full curriculum vitae of the candidate, as well as any supporting documentation deemed important for the submission. Submissions will be considered by the board and will be accepted only on a unanimous vote from the board.


Africa membership @ R4 600.00- No top up
Membership allows for three (3) representatives to be listed
Companies must have a full time business events operation in Africa. This is for organisations outside of the Southern African region. Proof of official business registration within the country of operation must be provided. No associate (individual) membership permitted. Only electronic copies of monthly magazine BEA and Yearbook. Yearbook to be posted at an additional cost


International membership @ R8 000.00- No top up
Membership allows for three (3) representatives to be listed
Companies that operate in the business events sector full time and have a full time office or an affiliation with a South African or African registered company in the industry. Proof of official business registration in the country of operation. No associate (individual) membership will be permitted in this category. Only electronic copies of monthly magazine BEA and year book. Yearbook to be posted at an additional cost

 

Corporate & Government Buyer membership @ R2 000.00
Membership allows for one (1) member
Top up fee R2 000.00
This is category for conference and event planner/ managers who work in a corporate company but not necessary directly in the business events industry. This membership will focus on education and networking opportunities. Best practice and position statements. The membership will on a rate per person in the company. No voting rights. Copy of magazine and yearbook. Access to SAACI website/ database but not accessible to members. Membership main aim must be to motivate corporate to use our members. No certificate will be issued

 

Affiliate membership
Entities that have a sponsorship memorandum of understanding (MoU) with SAACI. This is for services received from said company for a minimum period of one (1) year. Such services are as follows but not limited to: speakers/ beverages/ member benefits etc. An official proposal must be submitted to the chief executive officer for discussion at the next board meeting. MoU’s must run for a contractual period and preferably in line with the financial year of the organisation, although could be otherwise agreed by the board. The MoU must be submitted to the board for approval. No agreement of this nature may be entered in to without express consent by the majority vote of the board of directors and will be review on an annual basis in such a manner. Value of each contract is subject to approval
