Every SAACI member (planner and supplier) has the opportunity to become a member of the MPI Southern Africa Chapter.
Members deciding to join will remain SAACI members with all the local benefits, but will also be able to join the International network of MPI, benefiting from all the additional benefits. MPI Southern Africa will focus on the extending the educational offer and the international focus while SAACI will be delivering the local education, accreditation, the lobbying and national agenda.
The MPI-SAACI membership alliance gives SAACI-MPI (MPI Southern Africa) members an International component to the SAACI membership as well as providing access to international knowledge and a global marketplace. At the same time, MPI add to their own global map for European and US members by introducing them to SAACI members.
Conditions of Joining the MPI Southern Africa Chapter
This MPI membership can only be applied for once you are a current SAACI member.
This second membership will only be valid as long as you are a member of SAACI.
MPI Southern Africa membership is renewable each year.
When you terminate your membership of SAACI, the MPI membership will run its remaining length and then also terminate.
You may then elect to become an MPI member via the Europe, Middle East and Africa MPI branch (EMEA).

You will need your current valid SAACI membership number to complete this form.
Please read the steps for the process of application below.
The MPI application is processed through MPI EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) in Europe.
The application is paid in US dollars via your own bank (electronic fund transfer) or credit card.
The application for membership of MPI Southern Africa is NOT made through the SAACI offices

Step 1:
Please complete the application form, ensuring that your SAACI membership number is inserted.
Step 2:
Please fax the completed form to the MPI offices Europe
For attention: MEMBERSHIP MPI SOUTHERN AFRICA.
Details of the MPI Europe fax number are on the top right hand side of the application form.
Do not submit any payment as yet.
Do not fax application to the SAACI offices.
Step 3:
MPI Europe will send you an invoice.
Step 4:
Please make payment to MPI as per the invoice bank account details.
Please use your INVOICE NUMBER as your reference on your payment
Step 5:
Please fax proof of payment to the MPI Europe office – please put your Invoice Number and Name on the proof of payment.
Step 6:
The funds take 5-14 working days to be reconciled by the MPI Europe offices
Step 7:
You will then receive a letter of welcome with your user name and password for the MPI website member-only area (http://www.mpiweb.org/), your MPI logo for business cards and stationary and various other items of introduction. You will be entered into the MPI member database.
Step 8:
Your MPI membership details will be given to the SAACI offices by MPI Europe, to update to the SAACI member database.
Your MPI membership will appear on the SAACI website on the SAACI member database.
Step 9:
Use the SAACI-MPI educational initiatives to improve your event industry skills. Use the MPI member database to build networks across the globe.
