As South Africa is rapidly becoming a world conference destination, SAACI has developed a strict Code of Conduct. Complaints can be referred to an arbitration committee for resolution, saving time and effort.

Opportunity to be a Member of MPI through the SAACI-MPI Alliance

Another benefit of SAACI is optional membership of a global events industry association - Meeting Professionals International(MPI). This global meetings industry community is committed to delivering success for its more than 22,000 worldwide members by providing innovative knowledge and learning experiences, connecting people and ideas and creating rich marketplace opportunities. Founded in 1972, the Dallas-based organisation delivers global human connections through its 68 chapters and clubs in 20 countries around the world.

In October 2007, SAACI entered into a historic alliance with Meeting and Event Professionals International (http://www.mpiweb.org/) Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) that allows members of SAACI to join MPI through the SAACI-MPI alliance membership. There is an additional cost for this SAACI-MPI membership.

Regional Events
Each of the SAACI regions organises social and educational events. These meetings provide an invaluable networking forum for SAACI members. They also showcase venues, products and services of members to keep industry updated on offerings and innovations.

SAACI Annual Congress & Exhibition
SAACI has an Annual Congress & Exhibition. This is held around July each year at different venues around the country, on a roster basis. Here you will be able to attend presentations by top local and international conference experts, and as well as a chance to meet your colleagues and exchange ideas. As a member, you enjoy preferential discount rates on accommodation, travel and conference fees.

Networking Benefits

Free subscription to Publication
As a member you'll enjoy a complimentary subscription to the monthly Southern Africa Conference, Exhibition and Events Guide - a definitive source of information for the conference and related industries. Current subscriptions for non-members is R340 a year.

Yearbook
You will be listed in the Southern Africa Conference, Exhibition and Events Guide's Annual Yearbook - a definitive reference book for the conference industry, and receive a free copy. Every year, the June edition is in the form of a Yearbook detailing all suppliers of conference related services and products - an invaluable reference to the conference industry. This guide is widely circulated and is consulted by those seeking conference venues, organisers, and support services. International catalogue
As a member, for a fee, a catalogue is distributed at overseas events such as EIBTM. Confex UK as well as at Indaba in South Africa. The value of this is tremendous and has often led to business opportunities.

Annual General Meeting
You have a say in SAACI! Exercise your right to vote. You have two votes in SAACI - one at branch level annually and another at Co-ordinating Council level every two years.
