INTRODUCTION
*Over the last number of years the SAACI awards have not received the interest that they deserve.
*In 2011 it was decided to invigorate the awards by introducing the awards in the Branches. The Branch winners then competed for the national awards. This new approach did not deliver the desired interest or results.
*The Board took a decision that each Branch Committee should collectively put forward three names with a short motivation, based on the criteria, for each category. These names will be tabled at a Board meeting prior to the Congress. The Board will decide on the recipient for each award based on the motivation received for each name on the list.
ENTRY RULES
*The Fellowship, Personality of the Year and Young Achiever awards are open only to paid-up SAACI members.
*Previous recipients may not be nominated again for the same category.
*All names must accompany a supporting motivational statement of not more than 300 words outlining the reason for the nomination. Any further supporting documents may be submitted in addition to the motivational statement.
*Names and motivations from the Branch Committees are to be sent through to National Office for tabling at the Board Meeting.
*Entries will be judged by the SAACI National Board and the Board’s decision will be final.
*The national awards will be presented at the SAACI annual banquet which will co-incide with the SAACI annual congress and exhibition.
*Submission of names and motivations to be submitted by Branch Secretariats:
